CT-Lebanon Fair

From: Sandra Leclerc (batbarker@yahoo.com) | Date: 2003-12-15 17:53:50 UTC-08:00
I was wondering if there would be enough interest in a series of boxes at the Lebanon Fair in August. Would people be willing to pay the entrance fee to get to the boxes? I am usually there all weekend, and it would also be a good way to meet other boxers. Can I get some feedback on this, please? Thanks. Queen B

It's usually the first full weekend in August.

Yes! We love ag fairs, especially Lebanon and North Stonington!!!!
Heidi's a retired(ok, graduated?) 4-H student, and her brother David
used to have a set of bulls that he always tore up the competition at
the pulls with.

I grew up going to Hebron all the time and we are known to appear at
Hamburg, Woodstock, and Brooklyn....not to mention Washington County!

Enough rambling, but we'll stop by and stamp in!

We have done series at Tolland County 4-H fair twice with great
success.( 50 boxers stamped guest book) Last year we didn't do one so
we wouldn't conflict with a gathering in Mass or Maine can't remember
which now. Anyway we had planned to do one again this year but if
your doing yours maybe we won't our fair is usually the same weekend.
It worked really well and each box we did brought them to a different
part of the fair. Clues were in plastic pages in our tent and there
was only the one set for each box so folks wouldn't be hunting when
others had the box out. When finished they returned the clues to the
tent and picked up a new set. We had an event stamp there and guest
book as well and a few HH's passed through that weekend as well.
Have fun with it if you need any other ideas or help just contact
me. carol - Leader of the Pack

Thanks for the suggestions. I had not thought of only having one set of clues. Did you post any on the internet? If not, how did you get the word out about the boxes? If so, was it the clues for only the first box? Let me know. Queen B
